Posy isn't a real person.
She's the presenter we use to explain Etsy marketing on video. The advice she gives comes from people who work on Postivia. We'd rather you heard that from us than worked it out for yourself six months in.
What Posy is
- An AI-generated presenter for postivia.ai
- A consistent face, so you know who is talking to you
- Scripted and checked by the people who build Postivia
- Labelled as AI everywhere she appears
What she isn't
- A real Etsy seller
- Someone with a shop, an order history, or a story about her first sale
- A person you can book, hire, or get on a call
- A source for anything we haven't checked ourselves
Why we made her
Short video gets watched. A logo doesn't. We're a small team and we can't film a presenter every week, so we generated one instead. That's the whole reason, and it's a practical one rather than a clever one.
We could have skipped this page. Plenty of brands running synthetic presenters do, and most people would never think to ask. But we sell a tool that writes in your shop's voice instead of a generic AI voice, and it would be an odd company that made that argument while quietly passing an AI off as a person. If being straight about it costs us followers, that's a fair price.
Who actually writes the advice
The guidance in her posts comes from the same research as the guides on this site: Etsy's published fee rates, its seller policies, and the questions sellers actually ask when a shop gets suspended or traffic drops for no visible reason. Posy reads it out. She doesn't invent it.
Where we don't know something, she says so. Etsy doesn't publish how most of its ranking works, and no presenter, real or otherwise, can tell you otherwise honestly.
How you can tell it's her
Her profile name says so
"Postivia's AI guide" sits next to her name on every account she appears on, so the label travels with every post, comment and share rather than hiding in a bio nobody reads.
Ask, and you get a straight answer
Message the account asking whether she's a real person and a human replies, gives you their name, and says no. We don't keep the character going in a private conversation, and we won't be coy about it.
We apply the platform's own label
Instagram has a built-in label for AI-generated content, and her posts carry it. On TikTok and YouTube the software we post through ticks it automatically. It has no way to set Instagram's, so a person adds that one by hand once the post is live, which leaves a short gap on a scheduled post where the label isn't showing yet. Meta detects a fair amount of this on its own. We'd sooner declare it than get caught by the automatic pass.
She never speaks as a seller
She says "sellers tell us", never "my shop" or "when I started out". If you ever catch her claiming a shop of her own, we have made a mistake and we would genuinely like to hear about it.
What she'll never do
- Claim a shop, a sale, or a number she doesn't have
- Stay in character in your DMs — a person answers those, and tells you their name
- Recommend a tool we haven't used ourselves
- Appear on any account whose name doesn't say she's AI
Would you rather talk to a person?
Email hello@postivia.ai and one of us will reply. No presenter involved.
The same rule applies to your posts
Postivia drafts your captions from your own listings and queues them up, then waits for you. Nothing posts without you seeing it first.
