Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026  ·  Applies to postivia.ai and the Postivia app

The short version: the only cookies that load automatically are the ones that sign you in and keep the site working. Analytics, affiliate tracking and the support chat stay switched off unless you turn them on — and you can change your mind at any time, from any page.

    What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential — without them we can't tell one signed-in seller from another. Others are optional, and exist to measure how the site is used or to credit whoever referred you. This page covers cookies and equivalent browser storage such as localStorage, which the law treats the same way.

The legal basis we rely on

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we may only place non-essential cookies with your prior consent. So nothing in the Analytics, Affiliate tracking or Support chat categories below loads until you opt in — not on your first page view, and not while the banner is still open. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, but we still list them here so you can see everything in one place.

Declining is a single click and carries no penalty: every feature you pay for works identically either way.

    Strictly necessary

    Analytics

    Off by default

Tells us which parts of Postivia sellers actually use, so we know what to improve. This includes anonymised session recordings from Microsoft Clarity, which mask anything you type. Never sold, never used to target advertising.

No cookie storedVercel Web AnalyticsCounts page views and unique visitors. Vercel derives a visitor hash from your IP address and browser rather than storing a cookie or building a cross-site profile. We still ask first, because it processes data about you.Hash rotates daily
_clck, _clskMicrosoft Clarity (session recordings)Records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — as anonymised session replays and heatmaps, so we can find confusing pages and broken flows. Text you type is masked before it leaves your browser. Clarity may also set CLID and MUID on Microsoft's own domains._clsk 1 day; _clck up to 1 year

    Affiliate tracking

    Off by default

Postivia runs an affiliate programme. If a partner sent you here, this cookie is how they get paid. Declining it doesn't change your price or your access.

    CookieProviderPurposeDuration
_fprom_ref, _fprom_tid, _fprom_clickFirstPromoter (affiliate tracking)Records which affiliate partner referred you, so they are credited if you subscribe. This is the only cookie on Postivia set for a commercial tracking purpose.Up to 90 days

    Support chat

    Off by default

Powers the chat bubble. With this off, the widget never loads — email hello@postivia.ai instead and you'll get the same help.

Widget storagePostivia support chatLoads the chat widget and remembers your conversation thread so you don't lose your history between visits.Until you clear your browser storage

    Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, or the button at the top of this one. When you switch a category off we stop loading its scripts and delete the cookies we can reach from your browser.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings directly — Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer per-site controls. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out.

We ask again every 6 months, and whenever we add a processor that materially changes what we do with your data.
