By the time you notice a trend, the sellers who win it have already posted.

Trends on Etsy don't announce themselves. They show up quietly — in the tags the top-ranking listings for your keyword start using — and by the time a phrase reaches your feed, the listings built around it are weeks ahead.

AI Trend-to-Post Alerts watch your keywords every day, catch the phrase the moment top listings adopt it, tell you which of your own listings it fits — and turn it into a publish-ready campaign in one click.

    Start watching my keywords

Keywords are watched automatically from your first campaign — nothing extra to set up.

A trend you hear about late is a trend that happened to someone else

Every trend has a window: the stretch between the moment buyers start looking and the moment every competing listing has repositioned for it. Post inside the window and you meet demand with little company. Post after it and you're one more voice in a crowd that got there first — same product, same effort, a fraction of the result.

The bitter version of this is the trend that fit a listing you already had. The phrase rose, buyers searched, competitors posted — and your matching product sat in your shop the whole time, priced, photographed, ready. Nothing was missing except the connection between the trend and your listing — and connections you have to spot manually, at the right hour of the right week, are connections you will mostly miss.

“X is trending” is not an action. It's homework.

Plenty of tools will tell you something is trending. Then the work starts: is it relevant to yourshop? Which listing? Framed how? Written where? Each open question is a place for the whole thing to stall — and for most sellers it stalls at the first one, because relevance is the hard part. An alert that leaves you the matching, the angle and the writing hasn't saved you the evening; it's added a task to it.

So we built the alert to arrive with the homework done:

    Your trend alert, 7am

ceramic mug gift set — new under “ceramic mug”

This trend fits 3 of your listings. Best match: Handmade Ceramic Mug.
Suggested post angle: giftable desk accessory

    Generate campaign

One tap on that link opens the campaign wizard with the keyword and the listing already selected — the distance from “there's a trend” to “the post is drafted” is a single click.

Illustrative example — an invented ceramics shop. The wording mirrors the real alert.

From signal to scheduled post, without you standing watch

    Your keywords are watched automatically

Every campaign you create starts watching its target keyword; add or drop keywords manually in Settings. No separate research ritual to maintain.

    Checked against Etsy every morning

Each day Postivia samples the top-ranking listings for every watched keyword and diffs their tags against yesterday's. Only a genuinely new phrase raises an alert — no noise, no repeats.

    Matched to your actual shop

Each new trend phrase is scored against your own listings' titles, tags, categories and materials — with the reasons written out, and an honest "no fit" when nothing clears the bar.

Angle suggested, campaign one click away

For the best-matching listing, the AI names the post angle the trend calls for. The alert's link opens the campaign wizard with keyword and listing pre-selected.

Matching you can read, not a black box

“This trend fits your listing” is a claim, and claims need evidence. The matcher scores each of your listings against the trend phrase with rules you can read — the exact phrase in a title or tag counts most, then shared words across your tags, title, category and materials — and shows its working on every match:

    Why this listing was matched

    Handmade Ceramic Mug

    strong match
    • carries the exact phrase “ceramic mug gift set”
    • tags include “ceramic”, “mug”, “gift”
    • title mentions “ceramic”, “mug”

The match is decided by word-overlap rules you can read, not by an AI's vibes — and when nothing in your shop clears the bar, the alert says so instead of stretching. The AI is only asked to name the post angle after the fit is already established.

Illustrative example. The reason lines are the matcher's real output format.

The floor matters as much as the score. One generic shared word — “gift”, “handmade” — is never called a fit, because a tool that stretches matches to seem useful teaches you to ignore it. An alert you can trust on the days it says “no fit” is the only kind worth acting on when it says “three of yours”.

Built on real signals — and only real signals

Etsy publishes no search-volume, demand or ranking-keyword data — so tools that sell you those numbers are inventing them. Our trend signal is something we can actually observe: the tags that top-ranking listings for your keyword have newly adopted, read daily through the official Etsy API. It's the visible move of the sellers currently winning your search — a real footprint, honestly labelled.

The same standard runs through the keyword tool and the Listing Doctor: where the data can't prove something, we say so instead of decorating it.

What a missed window costs, a watched keyword doesn't

Trend-to-post alerts are part of the paid plans: Grow watches up to 25 keywords, Scale up to 100 — checked every day, alerting only when something genuinely changed. Your first campaign starts the watching automatically.

The alternative isn't free. It's checking Etsy by hand on the days you remember, and hearing about the other trends the way everyone else does — after the window.

    Frequently asked questions

What does Postivia count as an Etsy trend?

Something specific and checkable: for each keyword you watch, Postivia samples the top-ranking Etsy listings daily and records the tags they use. When those listings start carrying a tag that wasn't there on the previous check — say "ceramic mug gift set" appearing under "ceramic mug" — that's the alert. It means the sellers currently winning your keyword have started chasing a new phrase. We don't claim search-volume or demand numbers, because Etsy doesn't publish them.

How does it know which of my listings a trend fits?

By transparent word-overlap scoring against your connected shop's own listings — the exact phrase in a title or tag scores highest, then shared words across your tags, titles, categories and materials. Every match comes with its reasons written out ("tags include 'ceramic', 'mug'") and a strength label. If nothing in your shop genuinely fits, the alert says so rather than stretching a match — an honest "no fit" beats a manufactured one.

What is a "suggested post angle"?

The frame your next post should put the product in — "giftable desk accessory", "cosy autumn table setting". The AI is only asked for it after the deterministic matcher has already established the fit, and it's constrained to your listing's actual attributes: it can't invent colours, features or claims your listing doesn't make.

Do I have to set up keyword tracking myself?

No. Every campaign you generate automatically starts watching its target keyword, and you can add or remove watched keywords manually in Settings any time. From then on the daily check runs on its own — the alert arrives by email only when something genuinely changed.

Is trend-to-post alerting on the free plan?

No — it's part of the paid plans. Grow (£19/month) watches up to 25 keywords; Scale watches up to 100. The free plan includes the Keyword Finder and the Listing Doctor's shop-wide check-up, so you can see how Postivia reads real Etsy data before paying anything.

The next trend that fits your shop is already forming

Somewhere under a keyword you care about, top listings are quietly adopting a new phrase. The only question is whether you find out tomorrow at 7am with the campaign one click away — or in a few weeks, from a competitor's post.
